Let me give you the background information before I go on too much of a rant.
I let my friend borrow my iPod for the weekend and he put his music from his iTunes on it. When I got it back, I took his music off and put mine back on. When I looked at the songs on my iPod, I saw that some were missing. "No problem", I thought to myself, "Maybe I just didn't check all the songs off."
No. I did. So, I try importing again and I get this error message:
"The iPod Zane Bryan cannot be updated. The disk could not be read from or written to."Now here's where my rant comes in.
I call Apple Support (my first time doing so) and go through the 2 minute process of pressing the numbers that fit my problem.
FInally I am connected to a lady who sounds nice, but with an Indian accent. I tossed that aside, and told her my problems. She asked me to give the serial number, so I did. I had to repeat that fucking number 4 times before she could get it right.
When we get to my problem she asks me if I would like to have a step-by-step tutorial sent to me via Email. Sure, this shouldn't be hard.
WRONG. I tell her my address and she repeats is back to me, but with her accent, it was hard to understand the letters she was repeating back to me. I spent 5 minutes trying to spell out my Email address to her.
When she sends the tutorial to me, it is the same thing on the Apple website. I tell her this, and she seems to think that this one is different. No, it's word for word.
I ask her if I can speak to a person in charge (and with a better idea of what the fuck they're doing). She transfers me to a man, with an Indian accent. I finally bust out the question,
"Where are you located?"
"I am in -unpronounceable- sir."
"And where exactly is that?"
"India"
WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?
My iPod was made in Japan. I bought it in the U.S. AND THE SUPPORT IS IN INDIA?!?
Outsourcing is a bitch people.
Now that I'm done ranting, can anyone help me with my iPod problem
